GetResponse Alternatives 2026: Better Fits by Use Case

GetResponse alternatives for email marketing, automation and newsletter campaigns

GetResponse is a strong all-in-one email marketing platform, but it is not the best fit for every business. The right alternative depends on why you are leaving: price, automation complexity, creator features, list size or simply wanting a simpler workflow.

Best GetResponse Alternatives by Use Case

AlternativeBest fitMain reason to consider it
MailerLiteSimple newsletters and small teamsLower starting cost and cleaner email-first workflow
KitCreators and newsletter businessesCreator-focused forms, automations and digital products
ActiveCampaignAdvanced automationDeeper customer journeys and segmentation
BrevoVolume-based email and multichannel messagingPricing tied more closely to sends than list size

Why Look for a GetResponse Alternative?

GetResponse currently starts at $19/month for Starter at 1,000 contacts. Marketer starts at $59 and Creator at $69. The platform becomes more capable as you move up, but pricing also rises with list size.

That structure works well if you actually use the extra tools. But if you only send newsletters, paying for funnels, webinars or creator features you rarely touch may not make sense.

The opposite can also happen: someone may outgrow Starter because one automation workflow is not enough, then face a larger jump to Marketer just to get the automation depth they need.

For the current GetResponse tiers, see our GetResponse Pricing 2026 guide.

1. MailerLite: Better for Simplicity

MailerLite is the first alternative I would check if your main needs are newsletters, forms, landing pages and straightforward automations.

Its 2026 structure includes Free, Comfort, Power and Enterprise. Comfort currently starts around $12/month and Power around $25/month, with pricing increasing as the list grows.

The advantage is not only price. MailerLite is more focused. If you do not need a webinar platform, course creator or complicated ecommerce funnels, that narrower scope can make day-to-day use easier.

Power adds unlimited monthly emails, user seats, automations, landing pages and forms, which makes it attractive for frequent senders.

See our MailerLite Pricing guide for the new Comfort and Power structure.

2. Kit: Better for Creators

Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is built much more explicitly around creators.

Its Free plan currently supports up to 10,000 subscribers, while Creator starts at $33/month for 1,000 subscribers and Pro at $66/month for the same list size.

Kit’s strength is the creator workflow: landing pages, forms, broadcasts, sequences, visual automations, digital products and newsletter growth tools all sit around the idea of building an audience.

If you run a newsletter, sell digital products or mainly monetize an audience rather than operate a conventional ecommerce store, Kit may feel more natural than GetResponse.

GetResponse Creator competes directly in this area with courses, webinars and premium newsletters, so the better choice comes down to whether you prefer GetResponse’s broader all-in-one platform or Kit’s creator-first workflow.

See our Kit Pricing guide for the current plan structure.

3. ActiveCampaign: Better for Advanced Automation

ActiveCampaign is the alternative to consider when automation depth is the main reason you are shopping around.

GetResponse Marketer already offers unlimited workflows and advanced segmentation, so this is not a case of GetResponse having weak automation. The difference is that ActiveCampaign has built much of its reputation around complex customer journeys, segmentation, CRM connections and behavioral triggers.

That extra depth also brings more complexity. If you only need a welcome sequence and a few broadcasts, ActiveCampaign may be more platform than you need.

We already have a full ActiveCampaign Pricing guide if automation is your main comparison point.

4. Brevo: Better if Send Volume Matters More Than List Size

Brevo approaches pricing differently from GetResponse. Its marketing plans are tied strongly to monthly email volume, while GetResponse scales mainly with contact count and plan level.

That difference can matter if you keep a large database but send relatively infrequently. A contact-based platform can become expensive even when much of the list receives only occasional campaigns.

Brevo also combines email with transactional messaging, SMS and other communication channels.

Its Free plan currently includes up to 300 sends per day, while paid tiers remove the daily cap and increase monthly sending capacity.

See our Brevo Pricing guide for the current limits.

When GetResponse Is Still the Better Fit

Alternatives are useful only when they solve a real problem. GetResponse still has a strong argument when you want several marketing functions in one account.

Marketer combines email automation with ecommerce tools, sales funnels, abandoned-cart recovery and revenue reporting. Creator adds courses, webinars and premium newsletter features.

If you would otherwise pay for a separate email platform, webinar tool and course platform, GetResponse can actually simplify the stack rather than complicate it.

A Simple Decision Framework

  • Mainly newsletters: start with MailerLite.
  • Creator / newsletter business: compare Kit with GetResponse Creator.
  • Complex automation: compare ActiveCampaign with GetResponse Marketer.
  • Large list, lower send frequency: compare Brevo’s send-based structure.
  • Need webinars + funnels + courses together: GetResponse may still be the cleaner option.

Do Not Compare Only the Starting Price

Email-platform pricing gets misleading quickly because the products charge for different things.

Kit and GetResponse both increase paid pricing as subscribers grow. MailerLite also scales with list size and plan. Brevo is more send-volume oriented. ActiveCampaign combines contact tiers with plan features.

Before switching, price each platform using the list size you expect to have in a year, not just the list size you have today.

GetResponse Alternatives: Practical Takeaway

There is no universal “best GetResponse alternative.” The most useful replacement depends on what you want to simplify.

MailerLite is the strongest simplicity play. Kit is the creator-focused option. ActiveCampaign is the automation-heavy choice. Brevo is interesting when send volume matters more than raw contact count.
