Solo Ad Campaign Calculator

Plan a solo ad campaign before you buy traffic or analyze the results after delivery.

This free solo ad calculator helps you work with campaign cost, clicks, leads, sales and revenue so you can see what the traffic actually produced.

Use Analyze Campaign for a completed campaign or Plan Campaign to test different assumptions before placing an order.

Solo Ad Campaign Calculator

Analyze a campaign – or plan one before you buy

Use actual results from a solo ad or other paid email traffic campaign, or model a future traffic order with conservative, expected and strong scenarios.

Works with more than solo ads: You can also use this calculator for newsletter placements, email drops and other paid email traffic as long as you can track spend, clicks, leads and revenue.
Not sure what numbers to use?

For Analyze Campaign, enter the clicks you ordered and the clicks actually received. When extra clicks were delivered, the calculator shows your overdelivery and effective CPC. For Plan Campaign, expected overdelivery can be included as an optional planning assumption.

What you actually paid for the traffic order.
The number of clicks you purchased. Add this to calculate overdelivery and ordered CPC.
Actual unique clicks delivered, including any extra clicks.
New subscribers attributed to this traffic source.
Leads who later took the engagement action you track.
Tracked sales or conversions attributed to this campaign.
Revenue or affiliate commission attributed to this campaign.

What the Solo Ad Campaign Calculator Measures

Depending on the numbers you enter, the calculator can show:

  • Cost per click
  • Opt-in rate
  • Cost per lead
  • Engaged lead rate
  • Cost per engaged lead
  • Lead-to-sale rate
  • Earnings per click
  • Profit or loss
  • ROAS
  • ROI

That gives you a much better picture than looking only at how many clicks were delivered.

If you want to keep results from several campaigns together over time, use the Free Solo Ad Tracker.

Analyze a Completed Campaign

Use Analyze Campaign after you have bought traffic.

Where possible, enter your actual tracked results:

  • Campaign cost
  • Clicks received
  • New leads
  • Engaged leads
  • Sales
  • Revenue

I would use clicks actually received rather than only the number ordered when evaluating campaign performance.

The calculator then turns those results into metrics that are easier to compare between campaigns.

For a deeper look at how to separate traffic sources and follow leads after the initial click, see How to Track Solo Ads.

Plan a Solo Ad Campaign Before You Buy

Use Plan Campaign when you are considering a future traffic order.

Enter your:

  • Budget
  • Expected cost per click
  • Expected opt-in rate
  • Expected lead-to-sale rate
  • Revenue or commission per sale

The calculator then shows how the campaign could look under different assumptions.

These scenarios are not predictions. They simply show what the numbers would look like if the assumptions you entered were reached.

Don’t Judge a Campaign From One Number

A cheap click does not automatically mean good traffic.

The same applies to a low CPL or high opt-in rate.

For example, one campaign may produce cheaper leads while another produces subscribers who engage more often and generate more sales.

That is why I prefer looking at the campaign as a path:

Clicks → Leads → Engagement → Sales → Revenue → ROI

When Should You Check Campaign Results?

I would not necessarily judge an email traffic campaign the moment the last click arrives.

Some subscribers may convert through follow-up emails later.

You can check the campaign after delivery, then update the numbers again after several days if additional sales or revenue appear.
